Texas Independence Day Ride with Rich & Casey. We will take you to Gonzales Texas where the first shot in the Texas Revolution exploded from a six-pound cannon on October 2, 1835. Five months later Texas Independence was declared on March 2, 1836.
Depart CTHD at 8:30am. We will QUICK bio/fuel break in Bastrop then onto Baker Boys BBQ around 11:30am. Following lunch we will stop at the Gonzales Memorial Museum for 30m ($5.00 cash) then onto a bio/fuel stop on the way out of Gonzales. Then we will head back home on the Texas Independence Trail passing Palmetto State Park, Luling, and Lockhart then into Cedar Creek for another QUICK bio/fuel break. Then follow the Colorado River and up to Manor and then Hutto with KSD at the Hutto Shell Wag a Bag.
