Today we'll be headed back on one of my favorite routes to Pepperbellys in San Saba. This is a great route taking in some small country roads and the beautiful Hwy 16 between San Saba and Llano. We'll leave the Leander HEB at 9 am on a route that will take us about 110 miles over 2 hours, with a rest stop at the Stripes on the north side of Lampasas. After a break to stretch our legs we'll head on to San Saba, and should arrive at the restaurant between 11 and 11:30. After lunch we'll ride about 97 miles, heading south out of San Saba on Hwy 16 to Llano where we'll take a quick bio break stop. From there we head east to cut up through the redneck Riviera crossing a low water crossing of the Llano River(doubt there will be too many swimmers out but maybe), hitting Park Road 4 on our way to 29, then back to Liberty Hill. Total ride distance is 207 miles, and we should be back at the Starbucks in Liberty Hill between 2:30 and 3 pm. Its going to be a great ride and I hope you'll join us.
