EDIT: Bring your MGTT Flag as we will make a quick side detour before leaving Bandera to the MGTT #10 stop at the Flying L Ranch for a quick photo and tour check in.
The Old Spanish Trail was used by the conquistadors, who often followed routes established long ago by Native Americans. The O.S.T. Restaurant has been serving the dining needs of Bandera since 1921, making it the oldest continuously operated restaurant in Bandera County. The building has been a grocery store, a horse corral, and even a dance hall. The OST serves breakfast and lunch and is a popular spot so crowds could be possible. This will be a long ride day of 5.5 hours of seat time and 300 miles covered!!
We will depart from the TSR Valero on a relatively straight shot to Bandera, known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World” where we will eat at OST about 10:45. We will hang in Bandera until 12:30pm for brunch and local shopping. See MENU HERE.
From Bandera we will gas up at the Exxon on the way out of town before tracking back to Boerne then wind our way up to Blanco and Hye then over to Johnson City for a gas stop and leg stretch at Sunoco.
Leaving Johnson City we will wonder around Pedernales Falls Rd and around Lime Creek Road wrapping up at the Lime Creek Road Valero at Anderson Mills Rd.
