2025 San Antonio Overnight

It's time to saddle up our Iron Ponies as we make a trip to the Historic Menger Hotel in beautiful downtown San Antonio!!  This Level 4 excursion is KSU from the dealership at 7:30am sharp as we head to the Alamo City.  Pre-ride briefing will commence at 7:15am for this rain or shine event. Esquire and Tex will be your Road Captains for this event as they take you down some scenic highways and byways, coming into San Antonio the easiest way while still missing the greatest majority of heavy duty traffic.

From the dealership, we'll make a quick "bio break" in Bastrop before heading to a gas stop in Luling and having lunch at Kerby's Korner in Seguin.  After lunch, we'll head over some more back roads with a potential hydration stop in Lavernia before rolling in to the Menger.

Once at the supposedly haunted hotel and going KSD, we'll have time to hit the pool to chill out before heading to the Riverwalk for a group dinner at an excellent Irish Pub, Waxy O'Conner's.  Afterwards, you have free time to explore the Riverwalk, including some retail therapy at the Harley Shop just above the Riverwalk.  Total miles for Day 1 is 175.

The second day is our trip home via a direct route with KSU at 8:45. We'll head up Hwy 281, turn down FM1431 and end the ride with KSD at a location to be determined for a group hug. Then it's time to head to the house!  We'll have a "bio stop" in Johnson City at the Sonoco Station before continuing on our merry way! Total miles for Day 2 is 136.

Please call the Menger Hotel's 24-hour toll free reservation line at 800-345-9285. You MUST indicate you want a room blocked under "Central Texas HOG" to receive the contracted rate. Room rate is $139 plus taxes per night. You must cancel 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge for the room. The block of 15 rooms expires May 22,2025. Check in time is 4pm, and check out time is 11am. NOTE: Motorcycle parking is $45 per slot. Four motorcycles, or 1 trike & 2 motorcycles, are allowed per slot. The parking company will try its best to accomodate parking the motorcyles/trikes under a covered spot.
